We have been many times and food is consistently good and authentic. Fresh to made. Ambiance is ok, but you are going for the food when you come here. The restaurant is all vegetarian. Will continue to come back.

Hari Foods is a fast casual Indian street food that sells vegetarian friendly sweets, cakes, and entrees. I had the Bombay sandwich and it was quite a handful. The samosas were tasty, and I enjoyed my nostalgia trip with a Thums Up (that's how it spells, similar to Coke). Would encourage people to check it out, while they're in Castleton.

I've heard so many good things about this place - and the authenticity of their menu options. They do have items that aren't as easy to find in most other Indian restaurants. They were very busy for a Saturday late afternoon. They have a wide selection of Indian street food, cakes, pastries, snacks, drinks, and specials. The Pani Puri, Vada Pav, and Kachori were good. The Vada Pav was a great sandwich, it had a lot of different flavors that blended well together. Part of their assembly station is visible while you're waiting for your food, and it was nice to see them preparing different menu items. Gave me an idea of what I can order next time! The employees were friendly. They had about eight tables inside, it's a small dining area so most got food to go. There's plenty of parking.

One of the best places in Indy for Indian street food. It is not a big space, order at the counter and grab a table as 'chaats' are best eaten fresh! Another point to note is that Hari foods serves only vegetarian food. They also sell house made Indian sweet treats. Their 'ras malai' is hands down the best I have had in the US. I have stopped by many times just to grab this dessert! Have tried other things here like sev puri, samosa chaat and chole bature and have not been disappointed. Highly recommend.

Ok this is a good vegetarian India street side food spot and not just for Indians but anyone who would love to try authentic flavored Indian food. We went on a really high recommendation. We tried a variety of different options such as Samosa Chaat (potato fried crisp with chickpeas in tangy sauce) Kachori Chaat, Dahi Puri, Chickoo Milkshake, Jalebi Rabdi and Paan. The food was freshly made, the savory fries such as samosa and kachori were crisp and the dessert was delicious. The portions was huge for the amount we paid and we ended up packing a to go box. There's also a whole glass case dedicated to freshly made Indian sweets and pastries and while we ate we had quite customers ordering to go boxes.

Our dentist I recommend this place. We were novices when at eating Indian food. We tried a Bombay sandwich and loved it. More than we could split. Everyone was so nice; service and a casual eating atmosphere! A great place to come back to and learn a new cuisine!

Over the time, I have made efforts to always try something new each time I eat here. And I have not been disappointed. Bombay sandwich, kachori and chiku shake have become a favorite for me and husband. Chhole bhature taste has improved significantly than what I tasted first time. So far what I tried is - mango shake, bhel, pav bhaji, samosa, fafda - jalebi, pani puri/golgappe, and paan. Enjoyed it all. To find fresh soft yet crispy fafda was different feeling. (You'd to the relate emotion if your weekend breakfast once used to be garma garam fafda jalebi with some kadak mithi chai.) A must try pretty much hole-in-the-wall ish Indian restaurant. Don't second guess seeing the place as pure vegetarian. This place won't disappoint. You'd definitely find something on the menu to be a must try and a favorite which will keep calling you back. Thank you to the staff for a great service and warm welcome alw

Excellent choice of Desi Chaat and sweets. I had never had such a delicious food anywhere else in the States. We went late so we could not seat but the restaurant was kind enough to let us order take out. We ordered Samosa Chaat Pav Bhaji Hakka Noodles Veg Manchurian Chole Bhature and Bhel puri Everything amazing and the cost is very reasonable. The inside of the restaurant is spacious with a few tables. Highly recommend for Chaat if you are in Indianapolis area.

Hungry for Indian vegetarian street food? This is the best place in Indy for it! It has all of the classics one could find on the streets of Mumbai and more! The food is excellent! They do not caucasianize/Americanize their dishes, so if you have a weak stomach that cannot handle spice, you might want to get the less spicier options! But if you want the flavor and punch of some Kashmiri chili pepper, this is the spot for some healthy burn! Pro tip: I'd definitely order some yogurt as a side!
